I have always been obsessed with the ocean and the animals living in it. My whole life I wanted to become a dolphin trainer. Turns out I would actually train dolphins and sea lions for 10 years of my life.
My freshman year of college I signed up to take Basic SCUBA, best scam on the planet I paid $180 for the equipment fee and earned an elective credit. From there, I took Advanced/Rescue, Science diving with AAUS, I took the Master Diver course and quickly learned I had patience for teaching people SCUBA.
Meanwhile, I was volunteering at Moss Landing Marine Labs, SLEWTHS Project, where I learned Marine Mammal husbandry and training.
I finished school and moved to San Diego where I started working for the Navy as a civilian contractor training Sea Lions and Dolphins. This is where I started diving in a professional setting. I worked with the Navy for quite a while and after struggling to make ends meet; I transitioned to a career in Law Enforcement for San Diego Harbor Police. I became a member of SDHPD’s Dive Team and I loved that aspect of my Law Enforcement career most.
How did I start making swimwear?
I’ve always known how to sew and had made a few quilts. I really wanted a swimsuit top that was “professional” for the dive team with SDHPD.

I’ve always known how to sew and had made a few quilts. I really wanted a swimsuit top that was “professional” for the dive team with SDHPD. I had some trouble finding what I was looking for. So, I said F**K this I’m making my own. After realizing how much I liked making my own swimwear, I decided I wanted to start a swimwear brand where I could make custom affordable swimsuits. I love to make custom orders and it allows me to make sure every piece will fit perfectly.
